Can't find what you're looking for?

You can visit the edX Learner Guide, email, or add a comment or question to the forum at the bottom of this page!

What is the association with HydroLearn and edX?

EdX is an online learning course provider that is open sourced! Using OpenEdX, we were able to adopt the edX software platform to create our own online learning site that is independent of edX but uses it's same functions and features! That way, when you need help on HydroLearn, you can often find help by reading edX help documents.

Setting up an Account

How do I register for an account?

Easy! Go to our home page, and click Register. Fill in your account information to create your account, and you should soon receive an email with a link to activate your account!

How do I enroll in a course?

When browsing available courses, select the one you are interested in and it will take you to the About page. If the course is made public, you can select View Course and click the Enroll Now button to enroll. If the course is private, on the About page click the button "Enroll in [Course Name]". Some courses are only available for enrollment if the instructor invites you. If this is the case, you may only enroll through email correspondence when the instructor gives you the link to enroll.

Can I use HydroLearn without creating an account?

Yes! Without registering, you will be able to browse the available courses all you want! Some courses are private, and you can only see their About page, but others are public, and you can browse through the entire course (excluding parts of the course with problems).

Working on a Course

How do I see my grades?

You can check your progress in a course as you go along, or you can check your final grade after the course has ended. To try either of these, check out sections 8.3 or 10 in the edX Learner Guide or this article from the edX Help Center.

Can I resume work after exiting the course page?

Yes! As long as you clicked the Submit button after finishing any problem segments of the course, these answers will be saved. If you close out of the course, you can log back in and select the course to continue where you left off, however, you will need to navigate back to where you had stopped working. HydroLearn will not take you to the section of the outline where you were last working.
